Dear Singer,

Thank you for your interest in our Young Singers Competition. Please use the form below to register students that you would like to put forward for the competition. For the singers you submit in this way, you will be responsible for all communication to and from the RMVC. You are also responsible for gaining parental permission for video submission and if chosen, attendance at the audition in March 2023 and following the Safeguarding policy of your institution/organisation.

Sending a video is NOT compulsory as we are hoping to be able to invite all applicants to the live auditions in March. If you will not be sending videos please add a note in the comments box. Videos which are submitted will be reviewed at the end of Feb 2023 and we will contact you to let you know if any of the singers will then be invited to sing in person before our judging panel on 11th March 2023 at Abbey Senior School, Reading.  Students will need to be accompanied by yourself (or if another chaperone, you will need to let us know in advance).

Submitting your singers’ videos:

• Sending a video for each entrant is no longer required – but you can still do so if you wish.
• A separate video file would be needed for each singer.
• We would need to receive any videos by the end of February 2023
• Videos should be about 3 minutes long – but not more than 5 minutes.
• You may use any video format – we will handle any necessary conversion.
• Name the video files as follows: Institution_ForenameSurameInitial eg, Abbey_MaryS (feel free to abbreviate your institution name)
• Please would you upload your childrens’ singing videos using “WeTransfer”, this doesn’t need any sign up, just enter our email address (youngsingers@rmvc.net) and your own email address. Click here to open WeTransfer in a new window
• In case it helps – here is a video showing how to upload using We Transfer. If you are sending several videos, you may reach the 2GB limit and need to send the videos a few at a time.
